Why did you start doing CrossFit rather then chose to stay or join a normal commercial gym?

"When i first saw a CrossFit class, I was shocked and impressed by how fit everybody was - obviously CrossFit works. I had worked out in a regular gym for about 2 years prior to trying CrossFit but it wasn't very effective as it had become a chore for me just doing the same program over and over again. I had so much fun in my first CrossFit class I realised I could never go back to the old conventional gym."

What attracted you to CrossFit?

“I really like not having to think about what I need to train, I just rock-up and get stuck into the programmed WOD. Every day is different and varied so there is no chance of getting bored. Because of this, I have stuck with it and have made massive progress since I first started nearly a year ago.”

Why did you Join CrossFit Arete specifically?

“I did try another CrossFit box for a month, and I can say that Arete is MUCH more inviting and all inclusive.  Arete should hang onto that! It’s pretty special to have packed out classes full of people of all differing levels of fitness, age and life experience.  Having a small coaching staff contributes I think.  You get to know the coaches well and vice versa. Someone always says hi, whether it’s staff or member.”

“CrossFit is for anyone, there are a range of fitness, age and ability levels at CrossFit Arete.  Everyone works to their own level and the coach will always help you adjust the work out for you. I’m always adjusting workouts to suit me...”
